Multichain Swapper
The Multichain Swapper is a cross-chain token swap aggregator built directly into the VIRTUS Protocol interface. It enables users to swap tokens across 55+ blockchains without leaving the VIRTUS app — no separate bridge UI, no account required, no KYC.
VIRTUS Protocol does not execute, process, or settle cross-chain transactions. The interface displays available routes provided by integrated aggregation providers (Rango Exchange and LiFi). Users interact directly with those providers' smart contracts. VIRTUS Protocol does not hold, accept, or transmit user funds at any point during the swap process.

All steps are handled atomically or sequentially by the routing provider's smart contracts. VIRTUS Protocol acts solely as the interface layer.
Step-by-Step
- Navigate to Swap → Multichain in the VIRTUS app
- Select the source chain and input token
- Select the destination chain and output token
- Enter the amount to swap
- Review the quoted output, route path, estimated completion time, and fee breakdown
- Connect a supported wallet and sign the transaction
- The swap executes — track progress in the interface
No registration, email address, or identity verification is required at any step.

Both providers are external services independent of VIRTUS Protocol. Each maintains its own set of supported chains, bridges, and DEXs. The VIRTUS interface queries both and presents the best available route.

Fees
During the Points Program

During the Points Program, VIRTUS Protocol charges no fee on Multichain Swaps. Provider fees (Rango, LiFi) and any applicable bridge or gas fees are still applied and displayed in the route breakdown before confirmation.
After the Points Program
A VIRTUS Multichain Swap fee may be introduced after the Points Program concludes. If applied, it will be collected into the Operational Wallet (0xDD0D8b5ED94201caB79A0e007c1818C7B7741f98) and used exclusively for protocol operations. No portion is directed to individual team members. Any fee change will be disclosed publicly before taking effect.
Points Program Integration
During the Points Program (Weeks 1–24), Multichain Swap volume earns Points that convert to VRT when the program concludes. Points accumulate based on swap volume — larger swaps on supported chains earn more Points.

Use LP Swap for Base-native token pairs where VIRTUS has deep liquidity. Use Multichain Swap when you need to move assets between chains or access tokens not available in VIRTUS pools.

VIRTUS Protocol never has access to private keys, seed phrases, or wallet passwords. All transactions are draft messages generated by the interface — the user signs and broadcasts them independently from their own wallet.
Risks
Bridge Risk
Cross-chain swaps involve bridge protocols operated by third parties. Bridge smart contracts carry their own security risks independent of VIRTUS Protocol. VIRTUS does not audit, endorse, or guarantee any bridge provider's security.
Finality and Delays
Cross-chain swaps are not atomic across chains. Execution may take minutes to hours depending on the source and destination chains, bridge used, and network congestion. Estimated time is displayed before confirmation but is not guaranteed.
Price Impact and Slippage
Slippage may occur between quote time and execution, particularly for large amounts or illiquid routes. Set slippage tolerance before confirming. If final execution deviates beyond tolerance, the transaction may revert.
Provider Dependency
Route availability and output amounts depend entirely on Rango Exchange and LiFi. If a provider experiences downtime or route availability changes, swaps may fail or return suboptimal quotes.
Security Notice
VIRTUS Protocol will never contact you via DM, email, or social media about Multichain Swaps. If someone contacts you claiming to help resolve a failed cross-chain swap and asks for a private key or seed phrase — this is a scam.
Always verify you are using the official VIRTUS interface at app.virtus-protocol.com before connecting a wallet.

The Multichain Swapper displays routes and interfaces provided by Rango Exchange and LiFi. VIRTUS Protocol is not the counterparty to any swap, does not control routing outcomes, and assumes no liability for bridge failures, fund loss, or delays arising from third-party provider operation.
